Katja Schuurman started Return to Sender in 2006, which sells handmade products from the poorestregions of the world. The mission of this sustainable brand is to fight poverty. They do this bystimulating the local economy. "We believe fair trade is the engine of economic development." Return to Sender strives to make a sustainable contribution as an honest design label:
By creating employment for the makers with fair lone, working hours and contracts; Enable themakers to develop more skills related to their work; Offer training for the future makers; the new generation of young women are given a job opportunity through vocational training. Return to Senderdoes this in collaboration with Plan Nederland.
