Bamboovement - Fruit bowl (construction set) 
 

These apparently simple three shelves have a lot more going for them. The carefully placed notches turn them into a beautiful design fruit bowl in no time at all. Lightweight and nice and flat, so it fits through the letterbox too.

Moso bamboo

Like many of our products, this beautiful fruit bowl is made of bamboo. Bamboo is extremely sustainable for several reasons. It is the fastest growing plant on earth. The type we use is called Moso bamboo. Under optimal conditions, this species grows up to one metre per day.

In addition, several bamboo trees grow from a single root system. By using at least five-year-old bamboo for production, the root system remains healthy and new bamboo trees continue to grow from it.

Most importantly, The Bamboovement does not pose a threat to the pandas. The pandas prefer to eat the leaves close to the ground. The leaves of Moso bamboo grow too high for them.
